It’s what I grew up with, and no matter how much I love everything else nothing is as good as the original trilogy for me. But the trilogy doesn’t really have an end. The Emperor and Vader are dead, the second Death Star is destroyed…but now what? The Galactic Empire is left in ruins, the rest of the Imperial Army is still out there, and the galaxy is in disarray. The Rebellion has finally overthrown the Empire and now they need to rebuild. The civil war was just the beginning of the story for the heroes of the original trilogy, and in the New Republic era we get to see them grow more as characters and continue to fight for what they believe in.
